We have a judgement system on Earth concerning punishment for crimes, but God’s ways are above our ways. God sent forth his only begotten Son that we might have life and that more abundantly.

Life without Parole

Isaiah 55:6-9
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Luke 19:10
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

John 10:10-11
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Matthew 16:24-27
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

However, to receive this eternal life that Jesus is speaking of you must deny your fleshly desires and take up your cross daily and follow after Jesus Christ. You must be willing to give up your life for Jesus Christ and you will find eternal life. Listen and hear. “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?Even if you gained happiness, riches, power, and great health in this life what does it profit you if you lose your own soul to Life without Parole after you die in this life? Where you will be sentenced according to your works and cast into hellfire where you will never be set free, but for the time of the great white throne judgment where you then will be cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone for eternity. Life without Parole in this lifetime will seem like the best thing there could be as long as you have Jesus Christ in it once you have entered into this Life without Parole where their worm dies not and the fire is not quenched. There is no such thing as purgatory, and this is not symbolism, nor is it just a spiritual place that really doesn’t exist, but it is eternal judgment for the wicked.

Life without Parole!!!

Mark 9:42-49
42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

Revelation 20:11-15
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Life without Parole!!! You will be judged according to your works and you willbe salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

Cast into the Lake of Fire

Hebrews 10:28-31
28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This is not pretend land, this is not fairy tale land, this is you treading “under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace”. Of how much sorer punishment do you suppose you are worth than those who were condemned to death who died without mercy by two or three witnesses under the law of Moses? “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

Hebrews 9:24-28
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Romans 2:8-9
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

It “is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”. You could die at any given time in your life. You are not promised your next breath. Once you die the judgment comes. If you are NOT SAVED then you will be sentenced with Life without Parole where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth!!

James 4:14
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Matthew 24:45-51
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Life without Parole!!!

Matthew 7:22-27
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

James 1:22-25
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Oh but that person was so kind. So loving. That is by your own standard of measurement and your own judgment!! But what does God say in His word? Life without Parole for those who did not obey.

We were all born in sin inherited from Adam and unless we are born again of water and of the Spirit you will find yourselves for ever damned in the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone.

Life without Parole!!!

No mercy. No pardons. No escape. Life without Parole!! Whether a thousand years from now you still will have Life without Parole!! Whether it be a million years from now you will still have Life without Parole!! Billions of years from now you will still have Life without Parole!! Trillions of years from now you will still have Life without Parole!! In infinity from now you will still have Life without Parole!!

The only way to escape this judgment of Life without Parole is in this lifetime is to be born again of water and of the Spirit as Jesus has told us while continuing to live a life perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

John 3_5 and Acts2_38 equals salvation

John 3:1-7
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

This born again process that God has given to us through his Son Jesus Christ must be obeyed by following what the Apostle Peter with the other Apostles present tells us that every one must do in order to be saved.

Acts 2 - 38 Baptism. 02jpg

Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Jesus tells us that we are to obey the Apostle’s words!!

John 17:20
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

The Apostles continue to tell us to be baptized in Jesus name!! How many times do they need to tell us before we believe them?

Acts 8:14-16
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Acts 10:44-48
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 19:1-6
1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Acts 22:16
16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Romans 6:3-7
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Colossians 2:11-15
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 3:17
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

This includes water baptism in Jesus name for the remission of sins!!

1 Corinthians 1:14-16
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

Ephesians 5:25-27
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Hebrews 10:16-23
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Titus 3:4-5
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

1 Peter 3:21-22
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

The Apostle Peter is the very one who told us what we needed to do to be saved.

Even Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist to fulfill all righteousness. Jesus Christ was God in the flesh and without sin. So it wasn’t for an outward show of an inward change as Jesus Christ was perfect. It was as Jesus Christ said, to fulfill all righteousness. Since all of us after Adam sinned in the garden of Eden were born in sin we all need to obey what Jesus and the Apostles said to do. Jesus was without sin, but we were not. If you want to make Heaven your home and escape Life without Parole you need to born again!!

Colossians 3:17
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

This would include the baptism as we have been clearly instructed!!

Beward of False Doctrine

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Gal 1:8-9)

I would like to speak to everyone concerning a grave false doctrine that abounds. This false doctrine is teaching people that the name of Jesus in the New Testament is not the correct name of the Messiah. They insist that the name of God, which is YHWH, should have been used.

These teachers will show you that in the Old Testament when speaking of YHWH that due to Jews believing that the name of God was either to Holy to say or was afraid of blaspheming the name of God they instead substituted replacement names such as LORD when speaking of the name of God. These teachers also teach that the New Testament is the inspired word of God and is accurate in all it’s teachings, but that the name of God was replaced to Jesus and thus not the name of God. They are also teaching that the name of Jesus is of pagan origin.

Let us address this teaching.

According to what they are teaching they believe that the name of Jesus is pagan. The scriptures teach us that the Holy Ghost was sent from the Father in the name of Jesus. We also know from the Old Testament that our God is a jealous God and will not share his glory with another.

So in essence what they are teaching is that God will fill a believer with the Holy Ghost in a false pagan name that is not his own. They are also teaching that God will remit the sins of a believer in a false pagan name or any other name since the believer is sincere. This teaching goes against both the Old and New Testament and is thereby false. This would be saying that our God who’s name is Jealous would be sharing his glory with a false pagan name and filling believers with His Spirit in that name and remitting their sins in that name. (See Jn 14:26, Ex 34:14, Is 42:8)

I also wanted to point out that the name of Jesus and Joshua are the same name. One translated from Hebrew to English and the other translated from Greek to English and therefore the spelling of the name changed due to differences in alphabets.

Moses renamed Oshea the Son of Nun to Jehoshua which was contracted to Joshua or Jeshua. According to this false teaching that we are addressing they would be claiming that Moses renamed Oshea the Son of Nun to a pagan name.

These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua. (Num 13:16)

Also see Exo 33:11 and Neh 8:17 where the name of Jehoshua was contracted to either Joshua or Jeshua.

These false teachers also take great effort to point out that before the letter J was used in our English language that Jesus appeared as Iesus and then claim that the name of Jesus is only around 245 years old. This trying to prove to us that the name of God has changed and since the name of God is everlasting that this could not be.

This is a failure to recognize that all languages undergo various changes of pronunciations and also possible changes in spelling due to new pronunciations of words. This also fails to recognize that the name of Jesus is the name that God chose to reveal to us in the New Testament. The name of Jesus meaning Jehovah Savior or Jehovah is Salvation. Let me also point out that these false teachers claim that the name of Jehovah is a mistranslation of God’s name.

Let us not forget:

“And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. (Ex 6:3)

Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. (Matt 12:18-21)

How could the gentiles trust in the name of Jesus if the name of Jesus was not His name? Would God fill you with His Spirit in a name that was not His own? Would God remit your sins in a false name that was not His own? The answer is no. If we say that He would, then we make God a liar. For our God is a jealous God and will not share His glory with another.

So now it was not you that sent me hither, BUT GOD: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: (Gen 45:8-9)

Jesus Lifting Peter out of the Water

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre. BUT GOD raised him from the dead: (Acts 13:29-30)

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; BUT GOD knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. (Lk 16:15)

And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah. BUT GOD came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife. (Gen 20:2-3)

BUT GOD will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. (Psa 49:15)

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: BUT GOD is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (1 Cor 10:13)

BUT GOD shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. (Psa 64:7-9)

My flesh and my heart faileth: BUT GOD is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. (Psa 73:26)

BUT GOD clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day. (Jdg 15:19)

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: BUT GOD hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; (1 Cor 1:26-27)

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. BUT GOD commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rm 5:7-8)

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; BUT GOD meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. (Gen 50:20)

Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; BUT THE LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee. (Deut 23:5)

For our comely parts have no need: BUT GOD hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. (1 Cor 12:24-25)

And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: BUT THE LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel. (1 Sam 7:10)

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: BUT THE LORD delivereth him out of them all. (Psa 34:19)

BUT GOD shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses. (Psa 68:21)

They prevented me in the day of my calamity: BUT THE LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me. (2 Sam 22:19-20)

The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: BUT GOD overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness. (Pro 21:12)

BUT THE LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed. (Deut 7:23)

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: BUT GOD led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt. (Ex 13:17-18)

A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; BUT THE LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead: As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day: (Deut 2:21-22)

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: BUT THE LORD upholdeth the righteous. The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. (Psa 37:17-18)

BUT GOD is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. (Psa 75:7-9)

The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: BUT GOD shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. (Isa 17:13)

And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; BUT GOD suffered him not to hurt me. (Gens 31:7)

He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death. And if a man lie not in wait, BUT GOD deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee. (Ex 21:12-13)

And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: BUT GOD shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers. (Gen 48:21)

And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. BUT THE LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. (Gen 39:20-21)

And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: BUT GOD was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. (Acts 7:9-10)

A man’s heart deviseth his way: BUT THE LORD directeth his steps. (Pro 16:9)

But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: BUT THE LORD hid them. (Jer 36:26)

And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. BUT GOD prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. (Jnh 4:6-7)

And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, BUT GOD delivered him not into his hand. (1 Sam 23:14)

I have planted, Apollos watered; BUT GOD gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; BUT GOD that giveth the increase. (1 Cor 3:6-7)

And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. BUT GOD said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? (Lk 12:19-20)

But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. BUT THE LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. (Jnh 1:3-4)

They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. BUT THE LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. (Psa 94:21-22)

Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: BUT THE LORD helped me. (Psa 118:13)

BUT GOD, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (Eph 2:4-5)

Matthew 11_28-30

Let us begin with a comparison to the Sabbath observance God spoke of to the children of Israel…

It was a covenant between the children of Israel and God. Just as the New Testament Covenant is between the children of Israel and God.

It is important to realize that we are the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. For we have partook of that seed Christ, of which was the promise.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Gal 3:13-14, 16)

The purposes in the keeping of the Sabbath day of rest was to remind the children of Israel: 1) That in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed,

Just as we were told in Hebrews chapter 4:

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (Heb 4:3-6, 8-9)

This rest is found in the receiving of the Spirit of Christ!!

The second purpose in the keeping of the Sabbath day of rest was to remind the children of Israel:

2) To keep the Sabbath day of Rest holy or sanctified by not doing any work.

Just as we were told in Hebrews chapter 4:

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Heb 4:9-12)

It is important to realize that when we allow God to move upon us and speak with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance that we have ceased from our own works as God did from His. For the tongue can no man tame!!

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. (James 3:5-8)

Again, this Rest is found in the receiving of the Spirit of Christ where God then tames the untamable tongue and we cease from our own works as God did from His.

The third purpose in the keeping of the Sabbath day of rest was to remind the children of Israel:

3) That the children of Israel would remember that it was the Lord God who did sanctify them and brought them out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm; therefore the LORD thy God commanded them to keep the Sabbath day of rest.

Just as we were told in Romans:

We are sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. (Rm 15:16)

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Rm 8:3-4)

Just as the children of Israel were sanctified and brought out of the land of Egypt we too are sanctified by the Holy Ghost and set free from the bondage of sin which is a type of Egypt.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Rm 8:2)

Set free from Egypt… Set free from Sin…

The Sabbath rest of the Lord fulfilled!!!

Come let us Grow Together: God is the Way

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (Pro 3:5-7)

Man’s goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way? (Pro 20:24) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. (Psa 37:23)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (Jn 14:6) Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (Jn 10:7-9)

Jesus and the Cross

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. (Pro 23:23)

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (Jn 8:31-32)

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. (Pro 4:23-27)

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. (Psa 119:101-106)

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psa 16:8-11)

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (Jn 3:3-7)

And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Lk 13:2-5)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mk 16:15-16)

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Lk 24:46-47)

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:36-39)

Luke 6:36-37
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Are you the lawmaker? Are you a judge of the law?

James 4:11-12
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

Are you one who speaks evil of your brother or sister of whom Christ died?

Genesis 49:8-10
8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Shiloh (Jesus) has come out of the tribe of Judah and has brought forth grace and truth.

Hebrews 7:12-14
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

John 1:10-14
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Heb 11:3) “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” (Heb 1:1-3)

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

“These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Mt 10:5-6)

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.” (Rom 3:1-2)

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

How to be truly born again: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39) “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.” (Acts 10:44-48)

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 2:16-17
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Jesus took on the seed of Abraham after the flesh “that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.” “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” (Gal 3:16)

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Don’t Condemn and Judge Them Befriend and Love Them. Were you not born in sin?

“The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (Psa 14:2-3) ” Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” (Psa 51:5) “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Heb 10:7-10)

Romans 5:19-21
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Adam sinned in the garden of Eden and thus many were made sinners, all of mankind! However, by the obedience of one, the second and last Adam, many were made righteous! “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.” (1 Cor 15:45-47)

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Don’t Condemn and Judge Them Befriend and Love Them. “But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.” (Rm 5:15-18)

The “law entered, that the offence might abound.” “Therefore as by the offence of one [Adam] judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [Jesus the Christ] the free gift [of righteousness] came upon all men unto justification of life.

Understand, “the free gift is of many offences unto justification”. This every one of us should be continually giving thanks for! This literally means, for the born again believer, that ever time you sin and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you, then you are forgiven! No penance! Who can blame the guiltless! But they just sinned, I saw them! Guiltless!!! “There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?” (James 4:12) Did you divine their heart because of your greatness to know whether or not they just repented?Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.” (Rm 14:4) Guiltless!!! Well they keep doing the same sin over and over again, I saw them or heard about it? The “free gift is of many offences unto justification“! CAREFUL… you might be seeing and hearing it and either become a gossip or receive it from a gossip!!! But I read it on FACEBOOK or another social platform. Just because you see, read, or hear it DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO REPEAT IT!!!!!! Take it to the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer even if what you saw, heard, or read appears to be in a boasting fashion!!!!! Remember this, even if it wasn’t done in wisdomConfess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)

Romans 8:1-4
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” (Rm 6:14)

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Guiltless!!!

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Don’t Condemn and Judge Them Befriend and Love Them.

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” (Gal 6:1-2)

Romans 14:7-23
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

Do you want to place a stumblingblock in your brother or sister’s path?

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.” (Mt 18:7-11)

14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Hear and understand it is by your love one to another that ALL MEN will know that you are disciples of Jesus Christ!! There are many confused about this thinking only their appearance is what causes people to see Jesus Christ in them. Not so! There are many that have the appearance of Christ and have not the love of Christ and are none of his! Be not confused that there are Tares among the Wheat and many look like Sheep and speak like a Dragon.

1 John 3:11-24
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.” (Jn 15:12-14)

17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22)

20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 4:8-21
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Don’t Condemn and Judge Them Befriend and Love Them for this is the commandment of God.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

If you are not born again according to Acts 2:38-39 then you are none of his!!! “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

1 John 5:1-4
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Romans 16:25-27
25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Jesus Christ was a revolutionary!

The word revolutionary meaning: of, pertaining to, characterized by, or of the nature of a revolution, or a sudden, complete, or marked change.

Hebrews 7:11-19
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

As you can see there was a revolution here of a sudden, complete, and marked changing of the law as well as the priesthood.

From the order of Aaron to the order of Melchisedec! From the tribe of Levi to the tribe of Juda! The answer for why is found in verses 18-19 “For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.”

Why didn’t the law make anything perfect? All were under the penalty of sin!

Romans 8:3-4
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 Corintians 5:19-21
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

For if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law!

Galatians 3:16-22
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Jesus was made a surety of a better testament because he continues forever and has an unchangeable priesthood!

Hebrews 7:22-28
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second!

Hebrews 8:6-8
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

In that he says, A new covenant, he has made the first old. Now that which decays and waxes old is ready to vanish away!

Hebrews 8:10-13
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Jesus Christ brought about the time of reformation!

Hebrews 9:8-14
8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Without shedding of blood is no remission!

It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these!

Hebrews 9:15-28
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect!

Hebrews 10:12-18
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)!

Hebrews 10:19-31
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; )
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Therefore Jesus Christ was a revolutionary as he brought forth the Messianic restoration of a better hope!! based upon better promises!! of which we fulfill today by partaking of the New Testament Covenant of hope!!

Hebrews 6:13-20
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Come let us Grow Together: The Law – Abolished, Fulfilled, & Established

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

How was the law abolished and done away with while at the same time being fulfilled and established? This question is what is causing the majority of Christians to be confused. The law of commandments contained in ordinances was abolished and done away with, while the righteousness of the law was fulfilled by the love of God who gave his only begotten Son that would give his life in place of ours so making peace. Love fulfilled the law and established the law for righteousness without the law. We obtain this righteousness without the law by faith of Jesus Christ. Now the righteousness of the law is being fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

To help one to see this I have capitalized the words.

2 Corinthians 3:13-14
13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is ABOLISHED:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is DONE AWAY in Christ.

Ephesians 2:15
15 Having ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Colossians 2:14
14 BLOTTING OUT the HANDWRITING of ORDINANCES that was AGAINST US, which was CONTRARY TO US, and took it OUT OF THE WAY, NAILING IT TO HIS CROSS;

Romans 10:4
4 For Christ is the END OF THE LAW for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Galatians 3:25
25 But after that faith is come, we are NO LONGER UNDER a schoolmaster.

Romans 6:15
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are NOT UNDER THE LAW, but under grace? God forbid.

Hebrews 10:9
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. HE TAKETH AWAY THE FIRST, that he may ESTABLISH the second.

Hebrews 8:13
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made THE FIRST OLD. Now that which DECAYETH and WAXETH OLD is ready to VANISH AWAY.

Matthew 5:17
17 Think not that I am come TO DESTROY the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but TO FULFIL.

Matthew 3:15
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us TO FULFIL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. Then he suffered him.

John 3:16
16 For God so LOVED THE WORLD, that HE GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.

Romans 13:10
10 LOVE worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore LOVE IS the FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Romans 3:31
31 Do we then MAKE VOID the law THROUGH FAITH? God forbid: yea, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

Romans 3:21-22
21 But now THE RIGHTEOUSNESS of God WITHOUT THE LAW IS MANIFESTED, being WITNESSED by the LAW and the PROPHETS;
22 Even THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD WHICH IS BY FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST unto all and upon all them that BELIEVE: for there is no difference:

So the law given by Moses contained in ordinances was abolished and done away with while at the same time the law was fulfilled by the love of God by Jesus Christ who gave his life for ours so making peace, and this fulfilling of the law allowed the righteousness of God without the law to be established by faith of Jesus Christ. This is how the law was abolished and done away with while at the same time being fulfilled and established.

John 21:1-3
1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.
2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

Sometimes we can fish all the night long and yet still catch nothing!!

Mark 1:16-17
16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

But Jesus made us fishers of men! As a fisher one can cast their net all night long and yet not find anything! Here are professional fishers of men casting their net all the night long and yet finding no one! Where were the fish in the Sea of Galilee also known as the sea of Tiberias swimming about? The sea of Galilee is approximately 33 miles in circumference, 13 miles in length, and about 8 miles wide!

Luke 13:23-24
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Though the fish are all over the face of the Earth and there be many fishers of men, yet the nets many times are never full! Though we cast out the net day and night and cry aloud “Save yourselves from this untoward generation”, (Acts 2:40) yet even as the Sea of Galilee our nets continually come back empty or with but a few!

Where are the fish cried one fishermen to another!

Luke 5:5
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

The fish could be just another cast away! Just another letting down of the net! Just another minute of your time! Just another prayer away!

But many fish have already been dragged into the nets of the false pastors, teachers and prophets! Many of these fish love the waters that they now swim in! It is a nice paradise to them even though the waters be cold and the waters be shallow! But if we swim here, we will not have to be bothered by rules and commandments! For we are saved by grace alone and our preacher said it was so! But didn’t you know that if you follow after grace you must apply what the grace of God teaches you? “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world”. (Titus 2:11-12)

OH DON’T TELL US THAT!! LEAVE US ALONE!! THE WATERS ARE FINE WHERE WE SWIM AROUND!!

Isaiah 43:10-11
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Acts 1:8
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

OH LEAVE US ALONE!! WE HAVE MOHAMMED AND THE TEACHING OF ISLAM TO LEAD US TO TRUTH!!

Luke 5:6
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

OH LEAVE US ALONE!! WE HAVE BEEN ENLIGHTENED BY THE TEACHINGS OF BUDDHA AND THE PATH OF THE WISE!!

“The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.” (Proverbs 10:21) “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7) “Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.” (Proverbs 23:9)

Nevertheless we must keep fishing!! We must continue to cast out our nets and to change the bait upon our hooks!!

John 21:5-6
5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

“For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.” (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

What are you fishing for? You are fishing for the souls of men!! “Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49)

Must I cast yet again?

Jude 21-23
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” (Luke 15:7-10)

A fishermen is going to have to get his hands dirty if he wishes to receive the fruit of his labor!! What bait have you brought with you today and what type of rod and reel? Are you going deep sea fishing today or are you fishing for trout!! What fish are we seeking to add to the kingdom of God today!!

Get your tackle box and gear!! Grab your rods and reels!! For whether salty or fresh we got to grab them by their heels!!

Luke 14:16-24
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

Gather together the nets!! Cast them both far and wide!! For we have the Lord Jesus on our side!!

John 21:10-11
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

Season the fish with salt!! Let the Holy Ghost Fire arise!! For there be many fish left in the waters of demise!!

“Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Luke 14:34-35) “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” (Matthew 5:13-15)

Some fish are skinned!! Others are fried!! But every heart of man shall be tried!!

1 Corinthians 5:7-8
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

John 15:6
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Jeremiah 17:10
10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Let the fishermen be not unwise nor without skill!! Let him search the scriptures and be ready to give account!! For though the waters be raging we will surmount!!

Hebrews 5:13-14
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

1 Peter 3:15-16
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

2 Kings 6:15-17
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Be not weary fishers of men!! Cast out your nets once again!! For there be many fish left for us to win!!

“But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:9-12) “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatans 6:9)
