Acts 3:1-8
3:1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

The lame man at the Gate Beautiful, In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk!

Acts 4:1-12
4:1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

A. The Apostles were arrested because of the Name!
B. By what Power or by what Name!
C. By the Name of Jesus!

In verse 12, Neither is there salvation in any other Name ( The Name of Jesus).

“Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his Name Emmanuel-which being interpreted is God with us! And she brought forth her firstborn son; and called His name “Jesus”.

Matthew 1:21-25
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Colossians 3:17
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Here we are told explicitly that we are to do everything in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Water baptism in Jesus name is a deed!

Philippians 2: 1-11
2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Verse 9 states, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:”

“Jesus said, I come in my father Name!
God, gave Jesus; God’s own Name!
Jesus-meaning- Jehovah Saviour!

John 5:43
43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Matthew 7:21-27
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine,
and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not:
for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house;
and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Are you Preparing for the Storm? The storms that come in your life? The storms that come from God?

Genesis 6:13-17
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

The only way you can escape the storm of being born in sin and shapen in iniquity (Psa 51:5) and that of inherited sins from Adam (Rm 5:14) is by being obedient to the faith of the gospel of Jesus Christ even as Noah was obedient unto the Lord when he applied his obedient faith to the building of an Ark to the saving of his family. He put works with his faith or he would have perished in the flood also because he wouldn’t have had an ark to get on because he would have been disobedient to God. Is this you? Are you one that is supposedly saved by faith and yet haven’t applied any actions of obedience to what God has told us to do to be born again of water and of the Spirit? “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” (James 2:17-18)

1 Peter 3:18-22
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

This particular passage many times is used to try to justify that baptism is nothing more than the answer of a good conscience toward God. Yet the Apostle Peter has told us differently. The water that destroyed the world but saved Noah’s family alive thus he was saved by water is “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us”. The water of baptism in Jesus name destroys the body of sin and saves the soul.

Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The water of baptism in Jesus name destroys the body of sin and saves the soul.

Romans 6:1-9
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Notice carefully the question asked here, “How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” The Apostle Paul goes on to explain how we become dead to sin.

3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Notice the if clause in verse 5. If we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. Also in verse 3 the Apostle Paul speaks of the baptism in Jesus name as the way that we are planted together in the likeness of his death. This is that form of doctrine that they obeyed from the heart which was delivered to them. (Rm 6:17-18)

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

If you are not planted together in the likeness of his death, the body of sin will not be destroyed and you will perish in your sins because your old man was not crucified with him and therefore you will not be dead with Christ nor will you be freed from sin that you inherited from Adam.

Colossians 2:10-14
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

This is how you are made free from sin. You are baptized in Jesus name that the body of sin may be destroyed by the circumcision of Christ.

It is a promise of God that when you apply obedient faith you will become born again. Just like Noah who had faith in God’s Word built an ark to the saving of his family by water. Even so “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” It is a promise that when you repent and are baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins where the body of sin is destroyed that you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thus you will be born again of water and of the Spirit as Jesus instructed Nicodemus that “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (Jn 3:5) Thus “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us” even as the Apostle Peter has told us. Even as the Apostle Paul understood and explained.

Are you Preparing for the Storm? If so then you want to be born again the only correct way that you can be or you are not prepared for the storm.

C & C: Through Their Word

Connections and Comparisons is an ongoing weekly series that deals with many scriptures in the Bible, some of which are not commonly addressed. The purpose of this series is to examine the scriptures at hand comparing what is said and looking at the connections within.

John 17:20
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Jesus, while praying, to his Father, makes a petition for not only his Apostles, “but for them also which shall believe on me through their word“. It is of the utmost importance that you realize that Jesus has let us know that it is through their word that we will believe on him. We are to be obedient to their word or we are not being obedient to Jesus Christ.

Speaking with the Jews who desired to know if Jesus was the Christ, Jesus spoke these words.

John 10:25-33
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Jesus told the Jews that “I and my Father are one” claiming to be God. Jesus was God manifested in the flesh. However, the Jews even after Jesus told them the answer to their question of whether he was the Christ saying, “I told you, and ye believed not” after hearing Jesus say, “I and my Father are one” “took up stones again to stone him” because they said it was “for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”

Jesus made absolutely certain that the Apostles understood who he was.

Matthew 16:13-20
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

The Apostle Peter who by revelation of the Father made the proclamation that “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” was given by Jesus “the keys of the kingdom of heaven“. The rest of the Apostles also understanding that Jesus was “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus also made sure that the Apostles understood that he was the Holy Spirit.

John 14:15-18
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Jesus just revealed plainly to his Apostles that he is the Comforter, “Even the Spirit of truth” saying, “but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” Jesus was the one with them and has now said to them, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” It is Jesus that is the indwelling Spirit of God, the Comforter, “Even the Spirit of truth“. So the name of the Holy Spirit is Jesus as was just stated by Jesus.

Jesus also made sure that the Apostles understood that he was the Father manifested in the flesh.

John 14:8-11
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

Jesus also made sure that the Apostles understood that he had both manifested and declared the name of his Father

John 17:6-8
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

John 17:26
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Jesus also received his name by inheritance.

Hebrews 1:4-5
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

In the time of Jesus there were not any last names given to a person. Therefore Jesus receiving his name by inheritance, while also telling us that he was the Holy Spirit, while also telling us that I and my Father are one, while also telling us he that hath seen me hath seen the Father, while also telling us I have manifested thy name and I have declared unto them thy name, reveals to us that the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost is Jesus.

The Apostles had full understanding of this as Jesus opened their understanding to all the scriptures in the Old Testament concerning himself.

Luke 24:44-49
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

After Jesus opened their understanding of the scriptures pertaining to himself he told them to preach repentance and remission of sins in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem and that, “I send the promise of my Father upon you“. Jesus also tells them that after receiving the Holy Spirit which is the same as the Holy Ghost that the Holy Ghost would bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 14:26
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Notice that Jesus said, concerning the Holy Ghost, that “the Father will send in my name” also said, “I send the promise of my Father upon you“. This is because Jesus is the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost as we have already seen in the scriptures above.

After the Holy Ghost was poured out upon the believers when the day of Pentecost had fully come the multitude that was there desired to know what was taking place because when the Holy Ghost is received by a believer they will speak with other tongues as the Spirit gives them the utterance. The Apostle Peter who was given the keys of the kingdom of heaven by Jesus Christ when it was revealed to him that Jesus was the Christ, answered the multitude concerning what was taking place as well as answering the most important question that all people who desire to be saved want to know, that is how to be born again.

Acts 2:36-39
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Remember that the Apostles had their understanding opened to all the scriptures concerning Jesus Christ and that now having received the Holy Ghost which Jesus said would bring to their “remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” told everyone, including you and me, what they must do to be born again. “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost“. The promise was to “even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

This was their word and Jesus said, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;” (Jn 17:20) The Apostles correctly understood “the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” as Jesus revealed the name to them and to us. This name was Jesus and we see that through their word we now know how to be born again.

Through their word we continue to see that baptism was in the name of Jesus Christ.

Acts 8:14-16
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Acts 10:44-48
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

The Apostle Paul who was not among the twelve Apostles also taught the same thing. We learn that the Apostle Paul received his understanding by revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:11-12
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Acts 19:1-6
1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

So it is of the utmost importance that you are obedient to what the Apostles taught which they had of God. To fulfill all that Jesus spoke of concerning salvation we, through their word, are told, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

The Apostle Paul instructs us concerning baptism in Jesus name.

Romans 6:3-6
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Colossian 2:8-12
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

The Apostle Peter again stresses to us that water baptism in Jesus name saves us.

1 Peter 3:20-21
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

This is their word!!

Ephesians 2:16-20
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Jesus Christ was both a Prophet and an Apostle.

Acts 3:22-23
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Hebrews 3:1
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

To obey Jesus is to obey, through their word, what is commanded of us.

Salvation and Baptism

To be born again we must obey their word.

Colossians 3:17
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Daily Devotional – The Spirit, The Water, and The Blood

“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” (1 Jn 5:8) They agree in Salvation. “This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” (1 Jn 5:6) “But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.” (Jn 19:34) “And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.” (Jn 19:35)

Did you know the Spirit, and the water, and the blood represents Salvation? Repentance is representative of you dying out to you sins or death, being baptized in Jesus name is representative of being buried with Christ where the body of sin is destroyed, and the receiving of the Spirit is representative of the likeness of Christ’s resurrection where we are promised that we too will be caught away when the Lord comes to meet us in the air.

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” (Rm 6:3-7) “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Rm 8:11)

1 Corinthians 3:1-7
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

For you are yet Carnal

View or Download as a .pdf file

A strong chastisement from the Apostle Paul. These disciples of Jesus Christ are being told that they are carnal and still in need to be fed with milk and not with meat because they can’t bear it! Don’t be so quick to say that you can. Can you really? Or are you still in need of the milk? Are you still a babe in Christ even though you should be of age or an adult still in the process of growing which is needful? Unless you are new to the Lord Jesus Christ which of course you would still be a babe.

3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

It is God that gives the increase. It is his laborers that minister or witness his Word to souls. Is there envying in you? Strife in you? Divisions within your congregation with your brothers and sisters in Christ?

James 3:14-16
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

God is not the author of confusion and where bitter envying and strife is there is also every evil work! Are you a carnally minded Church? Carnally minded followers of Christ?

1 Peter 3:8-11
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

It is time to put away the milk, the carnality, pick up the meat, and spirituality.

Hebrews 5:8-14
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Jesus Christ learned “obedience by the things which he suffered” and the savior of those “that obey him”.

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Are your ears dull of hearing also? Do you understand “the first principles of the oracles of God” of which refer to the “Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.” (Romans 9:4-5) Also referring to these six principles of the doctrine of Christ of which you must have knowledge of in order to be saved yourself, and to instruct others, as well as these six principles of the doctrine of Christ are in direct reference to “the first principles of the oracles of God,” of which topics is the full understanding of what each principle is in reference to? “not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” (Heb 6:1-2)

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

One of the seven abominations mentioned in scripture to us that the Lord God hates is:

Proverbs 6:19b
19 … he that soweth discord among brethren.

Even as the Apostle Paul says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.” (1 Cor 1:10-15)

“Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” All this was clarifying to the Christians that there was to be no division among them and that they all had been baptized in Jesus name for the remission of their sins, not baptized in the name of Paul. “was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38) “Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.” (Acts 19:4-5)

James 3:14-16
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Proverbs 14:30b
30 …. but envy the rottenness of the bones.

There is no division in the body of Christ!

1 Corinthians 12:24-26
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Ephesians 5:29-30
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

1 Corinthians 12:18-20
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

If “we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones” are you not yet carnal when you have “envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”

1 John 3:14-16
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

1 John 4:20-21
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Galatians 5:13-16
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Are “ye not carnal, and walk as men” when you deny the power of the Holy Ghost?

2 Timothy 3:5
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Are “ye not carnal, and walk as men” when you teach “that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.” (1 Tim 6:5)

Denying the power of the Holy Ghost is to deny the resurrection power of the Holy Ghost!

Romans 8:9-11
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Denying the power of the Holy Ghost is do deny the receiving of the Holy Ghost evidenced with the speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance!

Acts 2:1-4
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Denying the power of the Holy Ghost is do deny that the gifts of the Holy Ghost are still in operation today by the believers!

Mark 16:15-17
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

1 Corinthians 12:1
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

1 Corinthians 14:1, 12
1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

From the words of Jesus you can see that these signs of the Holy Spirit will follow the believers, “In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues” and we can also see from Jesus’ words that many people who have done mighty works in his name were not continually obedient to him and in the day of his coming he will “profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Luke 12:42-48
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Isaiah 9_6-7

View or Download as a .pdf file

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Gen 2:16-17)

Satan had gained the power of death over mankind because of the Law of Sin and Death.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezek 18:4)

Mankind was in need of a Savior after the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden.

And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Gen 3:14-16)

The first prophecy of the coming of the Christ had been given.  This promise was given to the seed of Abraham who would be the father of many nations.

And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. (Gen 17:3-5)

This promise of the seed to come was then given to the Prophet David.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; (Acts 2:29-30)

And this is the reason that the Son of God, Jesus Christ the Righteous, was born.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 Jn 3:5, 8)

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
(Heb 2:14-15)

The enmity between the woman’s seed and the serpent’s seed.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Gal 3:16)

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. (Gal 4:4-7)

Freed from the Law of Sin and Death by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Rm 8:2)

But for us to partake of this promised seed of Christ, we must be born again of water and of the Spirit.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (Jn 3:3-6)

We partake of being born again of water and of the Spirit by fulfilling the words that the Apostle Peter spoke on the day that the Holy Ghost was first poured out.

Salvation and Baptism

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:36-39)

Now all of this was done that we might have life and that more abundantly.

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (Jn 10:9-10)

Come let us Grow Together: He is Risen

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. (Mt 28:5-6)

Jesus is alive and well!!

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (1 Pet 3:18)

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (Rm 5:17-19)

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. (1 Cor 15:45-47)

We need to be born again of water and of the Spirit!!

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (Rm 8:9-12)

We need to be baptized in Jesus name!!

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. (Rm 6:3-7)

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. (Rm 6:8-12)

The fulfilling of the New Testament Covenant of being born of water and of the Spirit…

(Acts 2:38-39)

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. (Heb 10:16-18)

What are you waiting for? Today is the day of Salvation!!!

Come let us Grow Together: We need a Cleansing

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

Cleanse yourself!!

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (Jn 3:5)

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (Rm 3:24-25)

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph 5:25-27)

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (Titus 3:4-5)

Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: (1 Peter 3:20-21)

And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16)

Purify yourself!!

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1 Peter 1:22-23)

Purge yourself!!

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. (2 Tim 2:20-21)

Depart from Iniquity!!

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (2 Tim 2:19)

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1:21-22)

Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (Jn 10:7-9)

Jesus Christ is the door of the sheepfold. Notice carefully that verse nine says, “if any man enter in, he shall be saved”. You must enter in by the door!!

For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. (Mt 18:11-14)

It is not the will of God that any man should perish, but that all should come to repentance. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Lk 19:10)

God forgets not His Sheep. But are you one of them? Have you entered into the door of the sheepfold? Have you been born again of water and of the Spirit? Have you taken on the name of Jesus Christ?

And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Lk 13:1-2)

Unless a man repents of his sins, he cannot enter the kingdom of God!!

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mk 16:15-16)

Unless a man is born of water, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!!

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Rm 10:9-10)

Unless a man believes that God raised Jesus from the dead and confesses with the mouth the Lord Jesus, he cannot enter the kingdom of God!!

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (Lk 24:46-49)

Unless a man’s sins are remitted, he cannot enter the kingdom of God!!

For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. (Isa 28:11-12)

Unless a man takes part of the Lord’s rest, he cannot enter the kingdom of God!!

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4)

Unless a man is born of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God!!

(Acts 2:38-39)

Unless a man is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!!

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Mt 11:28-30)

Unless a man takes part of the Lord’s rest, he cannot enter the kingdom of God!!

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Rm 8:1-2)

God forgets not His Sheep. But are you one of them?

Banish – to expel from or relegate to a country or place by authoritative decree.

2 Corinthians 5:20
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Ambassador – an authorized messenger or representative

2 Timothy 3:16
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The root verse for exposing false doctrines. Question: Do you believe that all scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for doctrine? reproof? correction?
and instruction in righteousness?

If you have answered no, then you are an unbeliever and your fate is:

Revelation 21:8
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

On behalf of Christ, as an ambassador of the King, I hereby banish all false doctrines to eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire, where there the fire is never quenched, and the worm dieth not.

If you have answered yes to the above question, I will now expose all false doctrines.

Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Let’s Dive straight into the heart of the matter. If all scripture is inspired by God and all scripture is as we have now read, and all scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. We will now insert:

Acts 2:37-39
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Verse 37, the men asked Apostle Peter and the rest of the Apostles what they must do, since they had crucified the Messiah.

Verse 38 Apostle Peter gave the answer of what all must do in order to have their sins remitted.

Verse 39 Tells us this promise is to everyone from then even unto all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Every doctrine that teaches you that you are saved after you repent and ask Jesus into your life, is FALSE.

Verse 38 very clearly tells us that you must Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Remission – pardon; forgiveness, as of sins or offenses.

To further back this we see it explained again in:

Colossians 2:11-14
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

All scripture is given by inspiration of God and profitable for doctrine. That means you can not omit something you do not understand to make it fit your belief system. Such as saying.

Romans 10:13
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

This was an epistle written to a church that already followed the Acts of the Apostles and had been baptized in Jesus name. To compare this scripture to Acts 2:38 or Colossians 2:11-14 is to reject both accounts given to you. On the other hand. Romans 10:13 can work when you admit it was an epistle written unto an established church in doctrine that already had partook of Acts 2:38.

All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.

Every doctrine that teaches you that you must be baptized in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy ghost, and that you can not trust the Apostles, but we must do what Jesus told us to do according to Matthew 28:19, is FALSE.

2 Timothy 3:16
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

This includes both Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38. To ignore or omit Acts 2:38 and all accounts of the baptism in the book of Acts, goes against 2 Timothy 3:16 that tells us that All scripture is given by inspiration of God and profitable for doctrine.

Jesus is the one who gave the Apostles the instructions of what to preach in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost in:

Luke 24:45-49
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Verse 47 Jesus Christ clearly tells His Apostles to preach repentance and remission of sins, in His name, beginning at Jerusalem. So to obey Jesus Christ, you can not ignore what He told His Apostles to preach, nor can you omit what His Apostles taught. If you do, you are partaking of a FALSE doctrine.

John 17:6 Jesus says,
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

John 17:26 Jesus says,
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

That name that Jesus manifested and declared was Jesus. So to fulfill what Jesus spoke both in Matthew 28:19 and in Luke 24:47, since Jesus gave both instructions, was exactly what Apostle Peter spoke on the day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Since Jesus tells us to teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, and then Jesus tells His Apostles repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem, and Apostle Peter with the other eleven Apostles, after receiving the Holy Ghost, in Jerusalem, then told all that were gathered around what they must do, which was; Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, we then can conclude that the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is Jesus.

I John 5:7
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

These three are one. Not one made up of three.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Father – God, The Word – God, The Holy Ghost – God
And these three are one God. Not one God made up of three people.

Deuteronomy 6:4
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Name = Jesus, as the Apostles instructed in fulfilling Matthew 28:19 in Acts 2:38.

John 14:16-18 Jesus speaking,
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Jesus = Comforter as He just stated in verses 17 & 18. Comforter = Holy Ghost.

John 14:26
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

2 Timothy 3:16
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Every doctrine that teaches you that you receive the Spirit after you have repented, or it automatically happens after you are baptized according to Acts 2:38, or that it is not evidenced with speaking in another tongue as the Spirit gives the utterance is FALSE.

Acts 5:32
32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Acts 8:15-16
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Here we see plainly that the Holy Ghost had not yet fallen on those who were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 19:3-6
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Verse 6 again shows us that it was not until the Apostle Paul had laid hands upon them, that they received the Holy Ghost and spake with tongues.

2 Timothy 3:16
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Ephesians 4:4-6
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Psalms 119:89
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
