We are labourers together!!

The Harvest is Ripe

You could say who am I? I am nobody. But don’t stop there. Speak the truth to yourself. Instead say I am nobody in myself, but I am not alone. I am a child of God! I am a child of the King! I walk by faith and not by sight. It’s not by my power, nor by my might, but by the Lord’s Spirit. One man plants another man waters but it is the Lord that brings the increase. Let us work together. Let us labour together for the glory of God. It’s not about me. It’s not about you. But it’s about the Body fulfilling the commandment of God as being his arms. And being his legs. And being the Light on the hill that can not be hid. It’s about being that city that can’t be hid. It’s about being the Salt of the Earth. It’s about reaching out to the lost. It’s about working while it’s still day, because the night comes when no man can work!!

Every little thing helps.

Cultivate it and watch the Lord grow it!! Labour over it in your tears! Labour over it in your love! Labour over it through your prayers!! Labour over it with works with your faith!!

There are ministries that you can get involved with on a much larger scale.

One could buy a church van or a church bus and take care of the cost and maintenance of the vehicle for the glory of God. By taking on this responsibility of the expense, you then bless not only the Church with many souls for the glory of God that you reach out to, but you also relieve the Church from this expense which can then be used elsewhere in the Church for the glory of God. It is this kind of spirit and attitude we need. It is this kind of heart that says, what can I do for the kingdom of God and then prays and fasts about it and waits upon the Lord to give you direction that we need. It is this saint of God that we are looking for each person of the Church of the Living God to become!!

There are no little jobs in the kingdom of God.

We are all the Body of Christ. And if we were all the eye, where would the hearing be. If we were all the ear, then where would the smelling be. We must have this kind of heart and this kind of mind set to be the most successful we can individually be in the kingdom of God. Remember he that is greatest in the kingdom of God, let him be servant of all. We must desire to serve. And we must desire to serve for the right reasons. And we must desire to serve out of an honest and good heart keeping the Word of God and producing fruit with patience over time.

We are in this for life!! We are lifers!! We are not going anywhere!! We are here to stay!! For the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church of whom we are!! We must reach out for the lost with ferocity. We must reach out to the lost with the truth!! We must get knowledgeable in the Word of God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth!!

Let us labour together!! Let us strive together for the mastery of the kingdom of God! Let us go on to perfection!! Let us bind together in the bond of perfectness. Let us be full of Charity for the glory of God!!

In the kingdom of God it doesn’t matter if you are deaf, or if you are blind, or if you are not able to get around very well in this natural body that we have.

But what matters is are you reaching out to the lost in the midst of your trials, tribulations and persecutions. What matters is how can you reach out to the lost despite of your dilemma. How can I overcome my situation and be a blessing to the kingdom of God in reaching out for lost souls is the question?

AND GOD NOT ONLY HAS THE ANSWER, BUT HE IS THE ANSWER!! GOD WILL SUPPLY THE WAY AND HE WILL OPEN THE DOOR!! THE QUESTION IS, WILL YOU PICK UP THE SUPPLIES HE HAS GIVEN TO YOU AND WALK THROUGH THE OPEN DOOR?

Let us be kingdom minded. Let us pick up the weapons of our warfare that God has given to us and let us work together in unity for the glory of God.

Is Christ divided? Nay, but Christ is One Body tempered together with no schism within it. We are labourers of the Lord!! We are the Lord’s husbandmen!! We are the Lord’s building!! But careful how each man builds thereupon for no other foundation can be laid than that which is laid!!

It is not about stepping stones. Nor is it about one foot here and one foot there.

It is about what ever God has allowed of you to do, or whatever God has gifted you to do, or whatever God has called for you to do, to do it with all of your might as unto the Lord!! Let us work together for the glory of God.

If all were the Navy, where would be the Army? If all were the Army? Where would be the Air force? If all were the infantry, where would be the calvary? If all were the calvary, where would be the artillery? And if these units did not work together in unity as for a common goal, where would be the victory?

So it is for the kingdom of God.

We are not units of our own accord and we are not labourers for our own personal goals and agendas. But we are a Body of believers strategically placed throughout the world by the King of kings and we have a common purpose to reach out to the lost as a united force.

Inside of this Body God has called forth Apostles, and he has called forth Prophets, and he has called forth Evangelists, and he has called forth Pastors and he has called forth Teachers. This five fold ministry is the God called, God placed, leaders that are called for “the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:12-16)

We have some Generals, we have some Colonels, we have some Lieutenants, we have some Captains, we have some Sergeants, for the perfecting of the soldiers, for the work of the mission, for the benefit of the nation: till we all come in the unity of motion, and of the knowledge of our portion, unto a perfect soldier, unto the measure of the working of every part: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in harmony.

But none of this is possible if we work alone and not as a unified Body of believers working for the common objective of reaching out for lost and dying souls with the goal being saving them from a devils hell that they might have life and peace both in this world and the world to come.

Luke 13:6-9
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Luke 3:9
9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Luke 8:15
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

We are the dresser of his vineyard and we must do all that we can do that the tree be not cut down and cast into the fire; but rather by labouring, digging, and dunging the tree that it will then begin to produce fruit. We must do all that we can do to help the tree to become that which is upon the good ground.

Titus 2:11-15
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Jude 1:3-4
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude 1:22-23
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

2 Timothy 2:23-26
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

We are ambassadors for Christ!!

As such we must be ready to bring forth the plan of salvation, zealous of good works, contending for the faith with meekness of wisdom, saving some with compassion and others with fear, pulling them out of the fire! For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Acts 9:36-41
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

1 Corinthians 16:13-16
13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
14 Let all your things be done with charity.
15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

Philippians 2:1-11
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

John 13:13-17
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Colossians 3:23-25
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

We are the servants of our Master Jesus Christ!!

If we be servants then we ought to serve with all joyfulness of heart, gladness of heart, and humbleness of heart for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works and happy are we if we do them! Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light and whatsoever we do, let us do it heartily, as to the Lord Christ.

Come let us Grow Together: Why the Christ Child was Born

Isaiah 9_6-7

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Gen 2:16-17)

Satan had gained the power of death over mankind because of the Law of Sin and Death.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezek 18:4)

Mankind was in need of a Savior after the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden.

And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Gen 3:14-16)

The first prophecy of the coming of the Christ had been given.  This promise was given to the seed of Abraham who would be the father of many nations.

And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. (Gen 17:3-5)

This promise of the seed to come was then given to the Prophet David.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; (Acts 2:29-30)

And this is the reason that the Son of God, Jesus Christ the Righteous, was born.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 Jn 3:5, 8)

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
(Heb 2:14-15)

The enmity between the woman’s seed and the serpent’s seed.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Gal 3:16)

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. (Gal 4:4-7)

Freed from the Law of Sin and Death by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Rm 8:2)

But for us to partake of this promised seed of Christ, we must be born again of water and of the Spirit.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (Jn 3:3-6)

We partake of being born again of water and of the Spirit by fulfilling the words that the Apostle Peter spoke on the day that the Holy Ghost was first poured out.

Salvation and Baptism

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:36-39)

Now all of this was done that we might have life and that more abundantly.

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (Jn 10:9-10)

Genesis 6:13-17
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Noah's Ark Judgment

Even as God destroyed this earth with water he has promised to destroy this earth with fire! The day of the Lord is coming! Get into the Church before it is to late!

Hebrews 10:24-25
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

That day approaching is the day of the Lord and the assembling of ourselves together is called Church. As this day of the Lord approaches we are told that we are to gather together so much the more! The day of the Lord is coming! Get into the Church before it is to late!

2 Peter 3:3-7
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2 Peter 3:10-14
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The “day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” We are told to watch and pray so that day does not take us unawares.

Luke 21:33-36
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The day of the Lord is coming! Get into the Church before it is to late!

We are warned “lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-9
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Again we are told, that the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, and then told that we are “not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.” The day of the Lord is coming! Get into the Church before it is to late!

Matthew 24:42-51
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Watch and pray! For “if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.” “But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of“. However the children of the day will be watching and praying and will escape the day of the Lord’s wrath! “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” (1 Thessalonians 5:2-5) The day of the Lord is coming! Get into the Church before it is to late!

Genesis 7:13-16
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

The “LORD shut him in.” Noah and his family made themselves ready against the storm that God promised that would come and destroy the earth! It’s time to make yourselves ready against the day of the Lord that God has promised! The day of the Lord is coming! Get into the Church before it is to late!

1 Peter 3:18-22
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Even as Noah and his family were saved by water “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us”, this same Apostle Peter told us “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39) “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us”! The day of the Lord is coming! Get into the Church before it is to late! Watch and pray after being born again so that day does not take you unawares!

Are you being Taught the Truth??

Matthew 25:1-13
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Even as the days of Noah. God shut the door and it will not open again for you!! “and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

Matthew 7:21-24
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Jesus Lifting Peter out of the Water

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre. BUT GOD raised him from the dead: (Acts 13:29-30)

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; BUT GOD knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. (Lk 16:15)

A man’s heart deviseth his way: BUT THE LORD directeth his steps. (Pro 16:9)

But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: BUT THE LORD hid them. (Jer 36:26)

Glean Your Field One More Time!

Matthew 9:37-38
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Glean Your Field One More Time!

Definition of glean: to gather grain left behind by reapers; to collect bit by bit- one piece of grain at a time.

We say Lord send me into your harvest, I am willing to go. The church says send us into the harvest field Lord. But are you willing to glean the fields? Are you willing to get your hands dirty? Are you willing to reach out day by day and bit by bit to gather together the remnant of the harvest fields that the reapers have already worked? Are you willing to get down on your knees in prayer to water the harvest field in search of just one more bit of wheat? Just one more soul of man?

Are you willing to glean your home field one more time? Are you willing to glean what the Church has already reaped, already harvested, and diligently search for the precious grain, to search for the priceless souls of the unsaved humanity?

What is the soul of man worth to you!

Are you willing to die for one lost soul of man? Are you willing to fall down on your face before the Lord and weep for the precious grain yet to be harvested? Will you to also look the other way as did the priest and Levite when they saw the one wounded and dying on the street? Or will you be as the doctor of the good news and get down on the ground and speak life into the dead bones of men? Will you speak unto them and say O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord and live! Ye bones of dead men rise up and walk! Ye bones of dead men rise up in repentance and be water baptized in Jesus name for the remission of your sins!! Ye bones of dead men rise up and become a new creature in Christ Jesus!! Ye bones of dead men rise up in repentance and receive ye the Holy Ghost!! I say unto you dead bones of men live!! Yea, I say unto you dead bones of men live!! I speak unto you dead bones of men the Word of Life!! Hear ye the good news of Jesus Christ and live!!

Preach and teach the good news!

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (Romans 5:6-19)

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:5-12)

Understandest thou what thou readest?

“Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.” (Acts 8:29-39)

He commanded the chariot to stand still and they both went down into the water and Philip baptized the Eunuch in the only saving name of the Lord Jesus!! “And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:16)

Church and fellow saint of God? Are you ready to glean your fields one more time? Are you like as Ruth and ready to get down on your knees in prayers and begin gleaning your towns, cities, and suburbs again!! Are you ready to reach your city, your county, your country, and your world? “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:13-14) There is no greater work you can do for the Lord but to labour in the harvest fields for the souls of men!!!

Are you a gleaner!! Are you searching for the precious wheat? Are you laboring and toiling with your hands searching the land piece by piece and bit by bit!!

We all know the story of Naomi, how that in Bethelehem-judah there was a famine in the land and Naomi’s husband took her and their two sons and went into the country of Moab and dwelt there. And in time Naomi’s husband died, and her two sons took them wives of Moab. The one wife was named Orpah and the other Ruth.

And as time passed Naomi’s two sons also died and left no children. Then Naomi heard that the Lord had visited his people Israel in giving them bread. Therefore Noami desired to return to Bethlehem-Judah and told her two daughter-in-laws to each return to her mothers house. Orpah eventually did return to her people. But Ruth clave unto Naomi and returned to Israel with her.

“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full, and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.” (Ruth 1:16-22)

Ruth’s great proclamation! “Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.”

Are you a Ruth!! Are you a gleaner of the fields!! Are you ready to go find the lost souls of men!! Are you ready to glean your field one more time!! Ruth was a gleaner!!!

And Ruth came and gleaned in the field after the reapers. Ruth was the one to get down in the dirt to gather just a few handfuls of grain after a long day in the field under the hot sun to provide bread for her and her mother-in-law, Naomi. Are you willing to work the heat of the day in the Lord’s harvest field and glean the lost souls of men bit by bit and piece by piece!! Are you willing to glean your field one more time!!

“And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field. So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.” (Ruth 2:22-23)

Gleaning is hard back breaking work!! Most people will not glean!! Gleaning requires patience, diligence, and a heart for lost souls!!

It’s time to first break up your fallow ground!

Hosea 10:12-13
12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

But now it’s time to trust in God and gather together the precious souls of men grain by grain and piece by piece!

God rewarded Ruth for her devotion to her mother-in-law Naomi by giving her favor in the site of Boaz who owned the field where she gleaned and Boaz took Ruth for his wife, and God will reward his wife the Church for our labouring and gleaning of the harvest fields!!

Church are we willing to go back into the harvested fields of our town, our city, and surrounding areas and glean the few precious souls that were missed and overlooked? Are we willing to use technological advances of our modern world to reach out to the world through the internet!! Are we willing to glean the outcasts, the down and out, those the other denominal churches spurn!! The poor of our city!! Those filthy with the sins of this world!! Those battling drug and alcohol addictions!!

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” (Jude 20-23)

These souls are already on there way to hell!! Their clothes have caught on fire from the flames of hell!! And their flesh is starting to burn!!

Are these twice dead, plucked up by the roots? How do you know if you will not glean your field once again!! Do not be as the self righteous!! To good to help the man in the ditch!!

Let us not be the Pharisee who went up into the temple and begin saying, I thank God I am not like this publican, and God have to humble us because of our pride. These are they of whom are
not willing to get their hands dirty to save a precious soul!!

All Souls are precious to Jesus!! And Jesus died for us all!!

Jesus is saying, Church go out to your friends, your neighbors, your city, witness, testify, give home bible studies, compel them come in, to save themselves, from the Holy Wrath of God which is soon to come when God will pour out his wrath upon the ungodly, the wicked, the unbeliever!!

The Good Shepherd will leave the ninety-nine sheep and seek for the one lost sheep! And upon recovering the one lost sheep he will rejoice with all!! Jesus died for that one lost soul!! If we desire to win souls, it will take gleaning the field again!! It will take effort, it will take prayer, it will take patience, and it will take work!!

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

Church, let’s glean our fields one more time!! Church, let’s follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and be a gleaner of the souls of men!!

Revelation 12:3-4
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:18-20) “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)

The fall of Satan the sin of pride!

“Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.” (1 Timothy 3:6)

In the book of Ezekiel we see a prophetic utterance in regards to the fall of the king of Tyrus which is indicative of both the fall of the king of Tyrus historically as well as the fall of Satan the Cherub that covered.

“Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.” (Ezekiel 28:12-17)

“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.” (Proverbs 8:13)

Satan is the Father of the disobedient!

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44)

“But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.” (Ephesians 5:3-7)

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21) “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:7-8) “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience”. (Colossians 3:5-6)

Satan is the Prince of the Power of the Air as well as the god of the Lost!

“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience”. (Ephesians 2:2)

“But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. (Matthew 12:24-28)

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

Satan is the adversary of God and humans, the accuser of the brethren, as well as the tempter and deciever!

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”. (1 Peter 5:8) “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” (Matthew 4:3) “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:9-11)

Satan is a trickster and one who beguiles the unlearned and the unwise!

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (Corinthians 2:11) “Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” (Proverbs 23:23) “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

“And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.” (Genesis 3:13) “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3) “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6)

Demons are fallen Angels!! And they are limited in power as even a Legion of devils could not prevent one human from running to the Lord and worshiping him!!

“And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.” (Luke 8:26-31)

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4) “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” (Luke 10:17)

Demons can be responsible for sicknesses, diseases, and all manner of infirmities!

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1-2)

“And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.” (Mark 9:20-29)

“And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.” (Luke 13:11-13)

“And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.” (Matthew 15:22-28)

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38)

The Devils and Demons know they have a time coming of judgment!

“And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.” (Luke 8:30-32)

“And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters. And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.” (Matthew 8:29-33)

There are no such things as ghosts or disembodied human spirits roaming the earth! But there are fallen angels which are demons, devils, and evil spirts!!

“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.” (Acts 16:16-18)

“When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.” (Deuteronomy 18:9-12)

Therefore you are to abstain from trying to contact the dead via any means such as conducting seances, using ouija boards, or calling so called psychics, for these are all abominations to the LORD God!

Hell was created for Satan and his angels! So why then do you want to go there?

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Matthew 25:41) “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10)

Come let us Grow Together: We are the Body of Christ, and Members in particular

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be NO SCHISM in the body; but that the members should have the SAME CARE one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members SUFFER with it; or one member be honoured, all the members REJOICE with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. (1 Cor 12:24-27)

This is what we are striving for concerning Charity in the Body of Christ. Charity being Love.

Charity suffereth LONG, and is KIND; charity envieth NOT; charity vaunteth NOT itself, IS NOT puffed up, DOTH NOT behave itself unseemly, SEEKETH NOT her own, IS NOT easily provoked, thinketh NO EVIL; Rejoiceth NOT in iniquity, but REJOICETH in the truth; BEARETH all things, BELIEVETH all things, HOPETH all things, ENDURETH all things. CHARITY NEVER FAILETH: (1 Cor 13:4-8)

This is what we are striving for concerning Unity in the Body of Christ.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with ONE ACCORD in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. (Acts 1:13-14)

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with ONE ACCORD in one place. (Acts 2:1)

And they, continuing DAILY with ONE ACCORD in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with GLADNESS and SINGLENESS of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord ADDED to the church DAILY such as should be saved. (Acts 2:46-47)

This is what we are striving to put away from us as the Body of Christ.

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you ENVYING, and STRIFE, and DIVISIONS, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? (1 Cor 3:3)

Let all BITTERNESS, and WRATH, and ANGER, and CLAMOUR, and EVIL SPEAKING, be put away from you, with all MALICE: (Eph 4:31)

This is what we are striving for concerning the members of the Body of Christ!

And be ye KIND one to another, TENDERHEARTED, FORGIVING one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Eph 4:32)

Be of the SAME MIND one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. BE NOT wise in your own conceits. RECOMPENSE to no man evil for evil. Provide things HONEST in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live PEACEABLY with all men. Dearly beloved, AVENGE NOT yourselves, but rather GIVE PLACE unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is MINE; I will repay, saith the Lord. (Rm 12:16-19)

We then that are strong ought to BEAR THE INFIRMITIES of the weak, and NOT TO PLEASE ourselves. Let every one of us PLEASE his neighbour FOR HIS GOOD TO EDIFICATION. For even Christ PLEASED NOT himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee FELL ON ME. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for OUR LEARNING, that we through PATIENCE and COMFORT of the scriptures might have HOPE. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be LIKEMINDED one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with ONE MIND and ONE MOUTH glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore RECEIVE ye one another, as Christ also RECEIVED US to the glory of God. (Rm 15:1-7)

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all SPEAK THE SAME THING, and that there be NO DIVISIONS among you; but that ye be PERFECTLY JOINED together in the SAME MIND and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. (1 Cor 1:10-11)

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be PERFECT, be of GOOD COMFORT, be of ONE MIND, live in PEACE; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. (2 Cor 13:11)

Only let your CONVERSATION BE as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in ONE SPIRIT, with ONE MIND STRIVING together for the FAITH OF THE GOSPEL; (Phil 1:27)

IF there be therefore any consolation in Christ, IF any comfort of love, IF any fellowship of the Spirit, IF any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye BE LIKEMINDED, having the SAME LOVE, being of ONE ACCORD, of ONE MIND. Let nothing be done through STRIFE or VAINGLORY; but in lowliness of mind let each ESTEEM OTHER BETTER than themselves. (Phil 2:1-3)

Finally, be ye all of ONE MIND, having COMPASSION one of another, LOVE as brethren, be PITIFUL, be COURTEOUS: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but CONTRARIWISE BLESSING; knowing that ye are thereunto CALLED, that ye should INHERIT a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him REFRAIN HIS TONGUE from evil, and HIS LIPS that they speak NO GUILE: Let him ESCHEW evil, and do GOOD; let him SEEK PEACE, and ENSUE IT. (1 Peter 3:8-11)

Come let us Grow Together: Know you not your Life is a Written Epistle, Known and Read of all Men?

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart. (2 Cor 3:2-3)

There is a big difference between judging someone, and reading them! How do you know if you are reading them correctly? By the Word of God.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. (1 Jn 3:14, 18)

Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. (James 3:12-14)

This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. (James 3:12-18)

Many people use the phrase, “you’re judging me”. And “you are a hypocrite.” But what one needs to understand is that there is a big difference between judging someone, and reading them! Not only so. One must also realize that there is judging that is allowed. Hear it again.

For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Cor 5:3-5)

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? (1 Cor 6:1-5)

So when someone reads your epistle and knows the Word of God they can prayerfully determine course of action against those who have done wrong in the Body of Christ. They can also read by your actions whether you are walking in light or whether you are walking in darkness still.

Come let us Grow Together: Cut the Ropes

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day. And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off. (Acts 27:29-32)

If we are to be saved, we must cut the ropes of sin!! Except you abide in this ship, you cannot be saved!!

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Lk 16:13)

You must cut the ropes of sin in your life!! Whether it be drugs, alcohol, pornography, gossip, backbiting, foul language, etc. If you are to find eternal life you must cut off the ropes of sin in your life and abide in this ship, which is the Church of the Living God!!

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; (1 Tim 1:9-10)

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Rev 21:8)

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Tim 2:20-22)

The choice is yours!!!! Cut off the ropes of sin and abide in this ship and live, or you will surely die!!

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (Heb 12:1-3) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Heb 10:25)

Cut off the ropes of sin and abide in this ship and live!!!!
