Daily Devotional – I Gave my Back to the Smiters

I gave my BACK to the SMITERS, and my CHEEKS to them that PLUCKED off the HAIR: I hid NOT my FACE from SHAME and SPITTING. For the Lord GOD will HELP me; therefore shall I NOT be CONFOUNDED: therefore have I SET MY FACE like a FLINT, and I KNOW that I shall not be ASHAMED. He is near that JUSTIFIETH me; who will CONTEND with ME? let us STAND together: who is MINE adversary? let him COME NEAR to me. Behold, the Lord GOD will HELP me; who is he that shall CONDEMN me? lo, they all shall WAX old as a GARMENT; the MOTH shall EAT them UP. (Isa 50:6-9)

The Jews cried out to crucify their Messiah. “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.” (Acts 2:22-24) “Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.” (Mt 27:26-31) Thank you Jesus for giving your life for the sins of the world, to save my life and the worlds.

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (Jn 14:6) Heroin is not your answer! Is it a hurt in your heart that is calling you? Is it the pleasure of sin for a season that is calling you? Heroin is not your answer!

Or is it the dire need to be noticed? Heroin is not your answer! Is it the cool crowd that is calling after you or is it the haughty spirit that is calling you? Heroin is not your answer! Heroin has killed many of it’s slaves!! I said satan has killed many of his slaves of which you have become because of your own rebellious desires and pleasures!! But praise be to God who is always your answer!! You need Jesus not heroin!! I’m talking about a crying out in repentance of all of your sins to Jesus who was, is, and will always be your answer!!

You need a strong support system of Holy Ghost filled saints of God who will bind together with you against this attack from the devil and claim all authority over this foul spirit and demonic attacks!! However, you must first repent of your sins and then, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7) Call for the elders of the Church no matter the time of day or night because “whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it” (1 Cor 12:26) and we will stand together with you and will fight along side you because we love you and you are part of the Lord’s body. Heroin is not your answer! Cocaine is not your answer! Crack is not your answer! Ecstasy is not your answer! LSD is not your answer! Synthetic Marijuana is not your answer! Jesus was, is, and will always be your answer!!

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16) Anybody need a healing? “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed”. You are not alone!!

“While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?” (Heb 3:15-17)

Heroin is not your answer! Jesus was, is, and will always be your answer!! Quit running away from God and call out to Him.

Psalms 34:17-18

17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Psalms 46:1
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Hebrews 13:5-8
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Heroin is not your answer! Jesus was, is, and will always be your answer!!

Daily Devotional – I AM THAT I AM

I AM THAT I AM (Ex 3:14), The Word that was with Me (Jn 1:1), The Word made Flesh; (Jn 1:14) The Everlasting Father, The Mighty God! (Isa 9:6)

Jesus claimed to be the I AM. The Jews understood that Jesus claimed to be God. “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.” (Jn 8:58-59) God is the I AM even as God is the Word even as the Word is God’s thoughts, plan, and reasoning within his mind. The Prophet Isaiah prophesied to us that Jesus would be called The mighty God and The everlasting Father. Thus the revealed name of God in the New Testament is Jesus.

Daily Devotional – Jesus Cried with a Loud Voice

And Jesus CRIED with a LOUD voice, and GAVE up the GHOST. And the VEIL of the TEMPLE was RENT in TWAIN from the TOP to the BOTTOM. (Mk 15:37-38) Therefore we have BOLDNESS to ENTER into the HOLIEST by the BLOOD of JESUS, By a NEW and LIVING way, which he hath CONSECRATED for us, THROUGH the VEIL, that is to say, his FLESH. (Heb 10:19-20) “The Holy Ghost this SIGNIFYING, that the WAY into the HOLIEST of ALL was NOT yet made manifest, WHILE as the FIRST tabernacle was YET STANDING:” (Heb 9:8)

Did you know when Jesus died he went into hell to preach to the spirits in prison? “For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.” (Acts 2:25-27) “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.” (1 Peter 3:18-20) “And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” (Mt 27:52-53) “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Rev 1:18)

Daily Devotional – They Gaped upon me with their Mouths

They GAPED upon me with their MOUTHS, as a RAVENING and a ROARING lion. I am POURED OUT like WATER, and all my BONES are OUT of JOINT: my HEART is like WAX; it is MELTED in the MIDST of my BOWELS. My STRENGTH is DRIED UP like a POTSHERD; and my TONGUE CLEAVETH to my JAWS; and thou hast BROUGHT ME into THE DUST OF DEATH. (Psa 22:13-15)

In the passion of Christ for a world of people in need of a savior Jesus Christ took not only the death of the cross but also the shame of all that he suffered. “And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth. (Matt 27:39-44)

Daily Devotional – The Lord Jesus Christ was Nailed to a Tree

The Time has come!! The Hour is at Hand!! The Lord Jesus Christ was nailed to a Tree! There to Drink the Cup of Sin!! Why, Why, you may ask, would He die on a Tree for Me?? Why, Why, would my savior die on that Cross for me?? He Drank the Cup of Death, the Cup of Death He Drank it for me, for in the Cup of Death, the curse of the Law we were redeemed.

Jesus said, “Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.” (Jn 12:27) “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Gal 3:13-14)

Daily Devotional – Bought with a Price

We were BOUGHT, bought with a PRICE! The PRICE?, was the “Cup of Death”! BOUGHT with the PRECIOUS BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST. “O DEATH, where is thy sting? O GRAVE, where is thy victory? The STING of DEATH is SIN; and the STRENGTH of SIN is the LAW. But thanks be to God, which GIVETH US the VICTORY through our LORD JESUS CHRIST.” (1 Cor 15:55-57)

Did you know that when you are born again that you have been bought with a price and you are no longer your own? “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Cor 6:19-20) Do you know what the Apostle Paul means when he asks death where is your sting and grave where is your victory? Jesus destroyed the works of the devil (Heb 2:14) and took back the keys of hell and death. (Rev 1:18)

Come let us Grow Together: Be ready always to Give an Answer

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. (1 Peter 3:15-16)

But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. (2 Tim 2:23-26)

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. (Titus 3:9-11)

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. (1 Tim 1:4)

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:10-11)

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. (Col 4:5-6)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. (Eph 4:29) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. (James 1:19-20)

Daily Devotional – The Spirit, The Water, and The Blood

“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” (1 Jn 5:8) They agree in Salvation. “This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” (1 Jn 5:6) “But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.” (Jn 19:34) “And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.” (Jn 19:35)

Did you know the Spirit, and the water, and the blood represents Salvation? Repentance is representative of you dying out to you sins or death, being baptized in Jesus name is representative of being buried with Christ where the body of sin is destroyed, and the receiving of the Spirit is representative of the likeness of Christ’s resurrection where we are promised that we too will be caught away when the Lord comes to meet us in the air.

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” (Rm 6:3-7) “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Rm 8:11)

Daily Devotional – One Sacrifice for Sins for Ever

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. (Heb 10:12-14) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Rm 8:1)

Did you know that once you are born again that Jesus has perfected for ever them that are sanctified? Which are those that are born again. This perfection refers to your conscience as you are no longer under condemnation that came forth from the Mosaic Law, “because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins”, (Heb 10:2 but justification by the offering of Jesus Christ once for all. So if you walk after the Spirit there is no more condemnation unless you walk after the flesh again in which case you can repent and be forgiven again.
