Predestination, Choice, and the God of the Universe

Let me begin this lesson by stating that this particular doctrine of predestination is a very difficult doctrine to understand. Two passages of scripture are very helpful for us to keep in mind as we study this lesson.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” (1 Corinthians 13:12)

Jeremiah 1:5a
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee;

We are predestinated according to the foreknowledge of God, but does this then mean that we do not have a choice?

Romans 8:29-31 Brackets inserted by me
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. {the first begotten of the dead (Rev 1:5); the firstfruits of them that slept. (1 Cor 15:20)… in the likeness of his death, burial, and resurrection.}
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. {to be justified in the sight of God one needs to be born again of water and of the Spirit.}
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

If you take notice, those who he did foreknow were predestinated to be conformed to the image of his son. Another words jointly formed or similar to by partaking of the Lord’s sufferings, being born again of God, and entering into the Body of Christ.

Romans 6:8
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children {the born again process} by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Let me briefly mention that sonship was lost when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. There were not any more sons of God until the New Covenant (Testament) of God was in force (the born again process of God) and we were once again able to become the sons of God (Spiritual regeneration). The Sons of God you see throughout the Old Testament after the fall of Adam and Eve are referring to Angels.

Romans 8:14-19 Brackets inserted by me
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. {Abba – This Syriac word, which intimates filial affection (the relation of a child to a parent) and respect, and parental tenderness,}
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Though we were predestinated unto God by Jesus Christ unto himself before the foundation of the world, this would in no way eliminate freedom of choice.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, {the promise of his coming} as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Though we were predestinated according to the foreknowledge of God the Lord has told us, “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” We were also told that, the Lord is, “longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

The choice is ours. Do we believe in Jesus Christ? Have we become obedient unto the faith of the gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ? By repenting of our sins and being baptized in Jesus name? For the remission of our sins that were inherited from birth; where the body of sin is destroyed as we are buried with him by baptism into death? Have we received the promise of the receiving of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance? As is taught throughout scripture?

What about God hardening Pharaoh’s heart? And has not the Potter power over the clay?

Romans 9:16-24
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

How could one have a choice if God had afore prepared the vessels of mercy unto glory? Who has resisted his will?

What did we read above?

Though we were predestinated according to the foreknowledge of God the Lord has told us, “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” We were also told that, the Lord is, “longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

So how does this work together?

2 Timothy 2:19-21
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

If we want to be a vessel of honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, we must depart from iniquity and purge ourselves from vessels of dishonour. The choice is ours!!

John 6:37
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

For the Lord will in no wise cast out those that come to Him. The choice is ours. For the Lord is, “longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

And who are those that the Father gives unto Jesus that he will in no wise cast out?

Answer is: whosoever will. Freedom of choice!!

Revelation 22:17
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

For there is no respect of persons with God.

Colossians 3:25
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Remember: God knew the end before the beginning. He knew every choice that every person would make before he ever made them, yet he chose to make us anyway. Thus he predestinated those that he foreknew to be conformed to the image of His Son. For through the blood of Jesus Christ is the redemption and reconciliation for mankind.

Isaiah 46:9-10
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

John 13:19
19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

Let us take a deeper look at the doctrine of predestination.

Did God predestinate Adam and Eve to sin? No, he gave them a choice of whether to obey or not to obey. Man fell. Did God predestinate man to sin and die to fulfill his plan? No, God created man to have fellowship with him and obey him by freedom of choice. Was God’s will for mankind to sin and fall short of the glory of God? No, his will was for man to fellowship with him in obedience by freedom of choice.

So man was not predestinated to sin, but God in his foreknowledge knew that man would fall because he is omniscient (all knowing). So he knew the choices that each individual would make in their lifetime and ultimately where they would spend their eternity.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son.

Those of whom he did not foreknow were prepared for destruction. The reason he did not foreknow them (in the sense of being his children) was because they were none of his. The reason they were none of his was because God in his foreknowledge knew that they would not choose to serve him and therefore he shows mercy on whom he will and he hardenth who he will.
But what about those who never had a chance to know God like those in the far reaches of the jungle? Or those that died without anyone to share the gospel with them? How could they choose to serve him because they did not know him? Choice. The very Creation witnesses of the God of the universe.

Romans 1:20-25
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

The very creation of God speaks of his existence as the God of the universe, not as a plurality of deities but as One God. Meaning the very creation itself demands an intelligent creator. Design demands a designer. God’s eternal power and Godhead is made manifest within the very creation and the rules of which govern this creation.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

So he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world…. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children… according to the good pleasure of his will.

In God’s foreknowledge he knew who would choose him and therefore he chose those who he foreknew would choose him. He knew the end from the beginning and predestinated us around this foreknowledge of which the Almighty Supreme Sovereign God of the universe, who is omniscient, chose us by election before the foundation of the world because he knew every choice that you would make in your life. Thus he knew who were his before the foundation of the world.

Again, if one starts to ask but doesn’t that mean that God made this person this way because God is the creator and this person then had no choice? The answer is still no, because God did not predestinate mankind to sin, but rather foreknew that mankind would fall. Did God predestinate mankind to fall? The answer again is no, God made man to have fellowship with him and obey him by freedom of choice. Otherwise you are actually accusing God of deliberately designing the Angels and mankind to fall. This is not true! He allowed them to exercise freedom of choice. Understand the will of God was freedom of choice to obey him because you so chose to. Not because you were forced to. God’s will was for man to fellowship with him in obedience by freedom of choice. Just like it was his will for all the Angels to fellowship with him in obedience by freedom of choice.

This is where you begin to recognize the love that God had for his creation of man. He gave man a way to once again become the sons of God and to be reconciled unto himself by Christ Jesus our Lord, even though we were in a fallen state. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) He did not give this same choice to the Angels that fell. This I believe is because they knew so much more than man and yet still chose to rebel against him.

So all of mankind was predestinated around what God already foreknew.

Matthew 11:21
21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

God in his foreknowledge knew how people would have responded to events that did not take place. Here you see two cities that would have repented if the works that Jesus did in Chorazin and Bethsaida were done in them. What one begins to take notice of here is that people under different situations and circumstances would have chosen repentance versus not repenting. In essence they would have chose God rather than not choosing God. But those situations and circumstances did not take place. This is a great illustration of choice. These two towns, Chorazin and Bethsaida, did not repent by their own choice after seeing the mighty works of God within them, yet God in his omniscience knew that two other cities, Tyre and Sidon, would have repented under those same circumstances. But that is not what took place. What matters to us is what is, not what might have been.

God knew Pharoah’s heart. Therefore God in his foreknowledge predestinated Pharoah to be a vessel of wrath fitted for destruction because God knew what was going to take place with his children in Egypt… and this is what was… not what might have been.

To say that Pharoah had no choice of serving God is to say God predestinated sin. God did not predestinate sin but God allowed freedom of choice, of which if exercised against God is sin. God did not create Pharoah to sin, but rather Pharoah inherited sin from birth. It was Pharoah’s choice to afflict the children of Israel with the bondage of slavery. God then chose to redeem the children of Israel by the hand of Moses and Pharoah was given over to a reprobate mind and his heart was hardened. This is God showing mercy on whom he will and upon whom he will he hardenth.

Proverbs 16:4
4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Let us take a closer look at God’s eternal purpose. God had an eternal purpose in Christ Jesus. Just as God is eternal, his purpose in Christ was also eternal.

Ephesians 3:9-11
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

To accomplish this purpose Jesus chose to pick Judas Iscariot to be one of his twelve Apostles to fulfill the scripture “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.” (Psalms 41:9) Judas had freedom of choice to follow after Jesus Christ but chose rather to betray him. God according to his foreknowledge knew that Judas would betray the Christ and so Jesus chose Judas to be one of the twelve Apostles.

John 6:67-71
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

John 13:10-11, 18-19
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

Acts 2:22-24
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Revelation 13:8
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

In the eternal purpose which God purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord we find that in the mind of God, Jesus the Lamb of God, was slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation17:8
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 3:5
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life” is choice and the removing of the name out of the book of life according to the scripture can take place, however calling those things that be not as though they were and knowing the end from the beginning God knows who will ultimately be written in the book of life from the foundation of the world whose names were not blotted out. Still being omniscient and still giving us choice yet still being predestined and still knowing the end from the beginning.

Romans 4:16-17
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Isaiah 46:9-10

Christ was foreordained before the foundation of the world.

1 Peter 1:19-20
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

The eternal purpose in Christ Jesus was to save his people that he foreknew from their sins!!

Psalms 51:5
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Every one of us were born in sin and shapen in iniquity. This is why we must be born again.

Romans 3:23
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Ephesians 2:3
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Every one of us were worthy of death…

Romans 5:6-8
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:19-21
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Those who hate the Light are blinded.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Is there any hope for those who are blinded by satan?

2 Timothy 2:24-26 Brackets inserted by me
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt {prepared; ready; willing} to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

The Lord takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked.

Ezekiel 33:11
11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

The choice is ours. Never the less…

Proverbs 16:4
4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Though the Lord does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked, he never the less chooses to make them anyway.

Acts 13:47-48
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Come let us Grow Together: Worshippers of Self

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

Worshipers of self are those that are worshipers of human reasoning. Those who worship their own opinions over what the Word of God teaches us. Generally using phrases that start with, “I don’t believe” or “I don’ feel” versus being obedient to the Word of God.

These people are lovers of self more than lovers of God. They depend upon human ability. Resting on their own fruitfulness of their own labors. They shove God out of the way and let their human reasoning or their own opinions take over. Thus they eliminate the need to trust in God because they “believe” or “feel” they can trust in their own self. They put their trust into their own hands, their own opinions, and their own abilities.

These worshipers of self will try to justify their actions by human reasoning. I still have money in my pocket. I still have a car to drive. I still feel God in my life. And thus they have made an idol out of their own opinions and have become worshipers of self. Then they will set themselves in the congregation of God and expect him to share with them His devotion while they cling to the idol of self.

The idol of who cares what God thinks about the affairs of my life. I’ll just use my own human reasoning to decide where I can survive spiritually and how I can survive spiritually. I’m talking about that human mentality, that human ability that says why should I pray and seek God? I’m making a good living and I trust in the works of my hands more than I trust in the hands of God. I’m talking about that attitude that says I must be alright with God or I wouldn’t have all of these good things in my life. I’m alright even though I am living in fornication. I’m alright even though I’m still living in sin. I think I’m alright because I still have a good job in spite of my sinful habit. I still have my family in spite of the sin that I let into the doors of my home. I still have fun and I’m not convicted about my carnality. I’m talking about WORSHIPERS OF SELF! I’m talking about the worship of human reasoning! I’m talking about the worship of your own opinion! I’m talking about the mentality that says I still feel God when I come to Church despite my compromised life!

I’m here to tell you that you are lovers of self more than lovers of God! You are lovers of what others have more than lovers of God!! You are lovers of what you believe more than lovers of God!! You are lovers of vanity more than lovers of God!! You are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God!!

I’m telling you that you are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever!! I’m telling you that you are without fear of God!! Carried about of winds. What the latest fashion is. What the latest fad is. What the latest tradition of men is. Never concerning yourself with What thus saith the Word of God. Trees whose fruit withers away, sitting in the congregation of God! Claiming to be followers of God, and yet your dwelling place is in the congregation of the dead whose nigh end is burning!!

I say to you repent of this your wickedness!! I say to you repent of your idolatrous practices of worshiping your own self! Worshiping your own ideals! Worshiping what you discern to be truth versus what the Word of God teaches us! Except you repent you will die in your sins!!

What are you bowing your knee to? For they that are of such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own fleshly desires!! They are serving their own fleshly wants!! They are serving their own fleshly cravings!! And they are serving their own carnal devices!!

Serving whatever my flesh wants and serving whatever my flesh desires while finding ways in the worship of self to justify it!! It’s time to place this idol of self on the altar of sacrifice!! It’s time for a spiritual cleansing and a spiritual awakening to the acknowledging of the truth!! It’s a time of refreshing and renewing in the Holy Ghost!! For our God will abundantly pardon!! Only you must put away the idol of self!! It’s time to cast self into the Fire of the Holy Ghost!! Purge yourself therefore of CARNALITY and LUST FILLED THOUGHTS and PRACTICES and LIVE!! It’s time to DIE OUT TO THE WORSHIP OF SELF!

Laying on the altar of sacrifice!! Let me die for you Lord!! Paul said, I die daily!! WE MUST MORTIFY THE DEEDS of the FLESH and NOT fulfill the LUSTS thereof!!

But I think this is ok… But I think that is alright… That’s not the way I see it… That’s not the way I interpret it… Lovers of Self you are!! Worshipers of Self you be!! It’s time to lay yourself on the altar of repentance why it is still called today!! For you are not promised your next breath!! It is appointed unto man once to die then comes the judgment!!

Psalms 68:19
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

Psalms 106:1-3
1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psalms 32:9-10

Ephesians 4:1-3

Come let us Grow Together: Eternal Life or Eternal Damnation

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God. The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Mt 7:21-23)

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; (Josh 24:15a)

For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: (1 Thes 4:2-5)

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; (Josh 24:15a)

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (1 Jn 2:15-17)

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. (Mt 7:24-27)

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; (Josh 24:15a)

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. (Heb 3:15)

Today is the day of Salvation! Today is the day to choose whether you will serve God or whether you will serve yourself!! Whom will you choose?

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; (Josh 24:15a)

For the choice is yours!!

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Lk 16:13)

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. (Deut 30:19-20)

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; (Deut 30:15)

Choice

Matthew 15:19
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

It is out of your heart that evil thoughts proceed, not your mind. It is within your heart that “evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies”.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

It is in your mind that you acknowledge the thoughts that were born out of your heart and then choose to cast “down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”.

It is not enough for you to decide what you believe is right and wrong! You need the knowledge of God contained within the Word of God to be able to bring “into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”. The choice is yours!

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

You must come unto Jesus Christ by choice “and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” However to obtain this rest you must “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me”. It is not enough to claim the name of Jesus Christ and refuse to take his yoke upon you and refuse to learn of him.

Yoke: (1.) Fitted on the neck of oxen for the purpose of binding to them the traces by which they might draw the plough, etc. (Num 19:2; Deut 21:3). It was a curved piece of wood called ‘ol —Easton’s Illustrated Dictionary

It is your choice to take the yoke of Jesus Christ upon you and to learn of him. However, if you do not do so, then you will not be able to cast “down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” because you are not being obedient to Jesus Christ and the Word of God and you are still under the yoke of bondage of sin.

You will have a yoke upon you! Either the yoke of satan or the yoke of the Lord Jesus Christ! You are either a servant of Jesus Christ or you are a servant of the devil. You are ploughing the field but who are you ploughing for? You are either gathering in or scattering abroad! The choice is yours!

Hosea 10:12-13
12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

Galatians 6:7-9
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Matthew 12:30
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Luke 9:57-62

19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

The choice is yours!

Joshua 24:14-15
14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Predestined

Even though it is out of your heart that “evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies” take place and not in your mind, it is in your mind that you acknowledge the thoughts that were born out of your heart and then choose to cast “down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”.

The choice is yours! We are predestinated according to the foreknowledge of God that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. And as being such we must be conformed to the image of his Son. To be conformed to the image of his Son you must be obedient to the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. You must partake of being born again as instructed by Jesus Christ to Nicodemus and obedient to the words of his Apostles and Prophets.

1 Peter 1:1-5
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Being born again of water and of the Spirit and Jesus instructed Nicodemus being obedient to the words of his Apostles and Prophets saying, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

James 1:18
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Romans 8:29-39
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are predestinated unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. “Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” However, this only applies to those who choose to serve him in obedience and “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me”. It is not enough to claim the name of Jesus Christ and refuse to take his yoke upon you and refuse to learn of him. You must be born again as the Apostle Peter instructed us “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

Ephesians 1:3-14
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Are you born again according to the Word of God? Have you partook of the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection according to the scriptures? The choice is yours! Whose yoke will you wear? Whose plough will you pull? Whose seeds will you plant? Whose word will you obey? Are you sown of the Lord Jesus Christ or are you sown of the enemy the devil?

John 3:1-6
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 1:12-13
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

It is not enough to claim the name of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior as Jesus clearly states. You must be born again of the water and of the Spirit as Jesus instructed us and you must also be obedient to the words of the Apostles and Prophets as Jesus also instructs us!

Matthew 7:21-27
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

2 Timothy 2:19

John 17:20-21
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Do you believe the words of Jesus who told us “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word”?

Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Do you want to be part of this building of the Lord? The choice is yours! You must be born again as the Apostle Peter instructed us “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

Acts 13:48
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

End Before Beginning

Isaiah 46:9-10
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Romans 4:16-17
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Revelation 3:14
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Revelation 13:8
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Was “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world”? According to the Word of God. How so? “God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” How so? ” I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”. It is in this same manner that Jesus says, “These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God” . How was Jesus “the beginning of the creation of God”? “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14) Who was the Word? “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” (Isaiah 43:10-11) “The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:2-3) “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:” (Ephesians 3:9-11) “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” (Heb 1:1-3)

Heart

Jeremiah 17:9-10
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Proverbs 16:25
25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

It is not enough for you to decide what you believe is right and wrong! You need the knowledge of God contained within the Word of God to be able to bring “into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”. The choice is yours!

2 Timothy 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Isaiah 28:9-10
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Luke 11:33-36
33  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

The wicked will be severed from among the just.  For the harvest is coming and the tares are coming with it.

1 Samuel 16:7
7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Therefore let your heart be perfect before the Lord of the Harvest.

Psalms 101:1-8
1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

The Lord of the Harvest knows them that are His.  Therefore let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Matthew 5:27-32
27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
31  It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Gather the tares in bundles for the flaming fires of hell and the wheat into His barn.

Mark 8:22-26
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

The tares are blind and the wheat can see the one to bind and the rest are free.

Proverbs 20:11-12
11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?  The harvest is coming which one will you be?

2 Kings 6:15-18
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

The choices you make determine whether or not you are a tare or if you are the wheat.

Acts 13:6-12
6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

The harvest is coming and the man of God has power in the Holy Ghost to blind and afflict the tares so be careful what you speak and what you do.

2 Timothy 4:1-5
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.  For the time of reaping is coming.

Mark 4:22-29
22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

The harvest is coming and it is the Lord of the Harvest that is bringing the increase.

John 8:42-45
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

The harvest that is coming will also include tares.  Let them grow together and the Angels of the Lord will sever them and put the wheat into His barn and cast the tares into a furnace of fire.  There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Isaiah 33:13-24
13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
21 But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.
22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.
24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

Let the wheat rejoice and the tares fear for the consuming fire of Israel draws near.

1 John 4:1-6
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The spirit of truth is the way of wheat and the spirit of error is the way of tares.  Prepare yourselves for the Lord of the Harvest is coming soon.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Spiritual discernment is the way of wheat for we have the mind of Christ.  The tares are blinded for they are of their father the devil.

Romans 12:1-5
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

The tares love their own and are of the world and the wheat are members of the one body of Christ working in the fields awaiting the harvest.

1 Timothy 4:1-5
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

The way of the wheat is above to escape the ways of the tares which are beneath.

Romans 6:1-2
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Come gather yourselves for the harvesttime is fast approaching and your time is always with you.

Galatians 5:19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The tree is known by it’s fruit even so the wheat is known of it’s own while the tares are prepared for the fires of hell.

John 3:17-21
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

The tares hate the light though they desire to deceive whereas the wheat love the light and long to receive.

Matthew 6:24
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

The harvest is coming and there is no where to hide.  There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Matthew 16:24-28
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

The harvest is coming prepare yourselves.  And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.  And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.  And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
